Why Going To The Dentist is So Emotionally Difficult

I am about to head out to an endodontist appt. And I hate it.

What does an endodontist do?

What do endodontists do?

Perform root canal treatments

Perform endodontic surgery

Treat teeth after traumatic injuries

Clean and disinfect areas around the teeth, gums, or face

**When do you see an endodontist?

You have persistent tooth pain

You have unexplained pain in your jaw or mouth

Your gums are swollen

Your teeth are sensitive to hot or cold temperatures or sweets

You have signs of infection, such as fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or redness or swelling between the mouth and the cheek

The last time I had an endodontist appointment was in 2020. It was right at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. The dentist at the time was very, very paranoid about Covid.

This was back when people were taking temperatures at the door and not letting in anyone with a fever. Well, at the time, I was dealing with a lot of health problems and I guess had a slightly elevated fever at the time.
