Tik Tok Is a Scary Place to Be

I am Gen X and up on all types of social media. In my previous life, I worked in social media for over 20 years. It is second nature to me.

However, I am not that crazy about taking or being in videos.

So when my work started drying up because of Tik Tok, every campaign wanted Tik Tok. And I didn’t want to learn *another* platform.

Then I started losing money because companies were very, very focused on Tik Tok. So I joined and started posting a little and looking around at the other videos.

And it was shocking what people were willing to post. And most are for free, meaning the post aren’t marked as sponsored.

So here is what I constantly see on Tik Tok:

• Gen Z girls half naked, talking about sex but they are not promoting an Only Fans, so I don’t get what they are getting out of it? Likes or online fame don’t pay the bills
• Nyquil chicken and other crazy stupid “recipes”
