The Super Passive/Aggressive People Need To Stop
I recently was in a McDonald’s drive-through. All of a sudden, the 75-year-old lady behind me, waving her $5 around yelled “Oh my God, what is taking so long??!!”
I looked at the rearview mirror in disbelief. This McDonald’s is known to be slow. And everywhere is understaffed. Where has this lady been for the past 2 years?
This lady was clearly aggressive. Midwesterners are known for being nice. But also passive-aggressive.
The cousin to rudeness is passive/aggressive behavior. I have been dealing with passive/aggressive relatives for over 20 years. It is exhausting.
The official definition:
Passive-aggressive behavior is a pattern of indirectly expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them. There’s a disconnect between what a person who exhibits passive-aggressive behavior says and what he or she does.
Being passive/aggressive is an easy way for people to express their anger, without “getting in trouble”.
