The Angels Among Us And the Power of Prayer

My son is in the hospital with a reactive arthritis diagnosis. He is only 22 years old and has had pretty good health his entire life, except for asthma.

So what started as an infection, triggered extreme pain in his knee and elbow. He was not able to walk or put weight down on his foot. We spent all of last week going to a million doctors, trying to find a solution.

We brought him to the ER last Saturday and spent 10 hours there. They tested him for meningitis, including a spinal tap and all his tests were negative.

He was able to walk out of the hospital on crutches on Sat. night. We thought the worst was behind us. Then Sunday morning he woke up and was in a lot of pain. He could barely walk to the bathroom and he seemed to be running a temperature.

So 11 pm at night, we went back to the ER. We stayed there all night with him, and he was finally admitted. He is still there but he is recovering.

They think he has reactive arthritis.

Reactive arthritis (Reiter’s syndrome) is a rare, temporary form of inflammatory arthritis that’s triggered by a bacterial infection.
