Target and Other Stores Are Serving Up Sky High Grocery Store “Sales” and Discount Trickery
This Is Not Okay.
Ok, first let’s put to the side that soda is bad for you. Or here in the Midwest as it’s known “pop”. I have lived here 25 years but still refuse to say pop instead of soda! I get made fun of for it but I don’t care.
Anyway, I was perusing the Target ad and came across this:
What? What? $6 for a 12 pack is NOT a sale. Do they think consumers are stupid?
Maybe they do. But I am not. I remember about five years ago, before the pandemic, 12 packs of soda were around $3–$4. And back in the good old days of 2011, I found one sale of $2/12 pack.
That is clearly unheard of now. I love Diet Coke but I have had to cut back because of the prices. At some point it is just ridiculous. And yes, I know Diet Coke is not good for you. Neither is vaping, edibles, or alcohol. I don’t like my precious Diet Coke being lumped into the bad category like that.
But anyway, health risks aside, this “sale” brings up many more issues that stores are waging against customers.
