Say Anything To Gen X But Not These 5+ Things!
Gen X is the most unique generation in my opinion. Born in a unique time, we see the world a lot differently than the other generations. And we are only 20% of the population!
We were brought up on movies and media that portrayed Gen X as independent rebels. Look at Say Anything, The Breakfast Club, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. We remember life BEFORE the Internet.
So when I saw this tweet from Michael Girdley, I had to respond!
1. Motivate Gen X with two phrases, “Do it your way” and “Don’t sweat the rules” Many Gen X grew up in divorced single-parent homes. So were forced to be self-reliant and unsupervised early on. They want independence to get it done their way.
Yeah, might be true. My parents got divorced when I was in high school. I had to know how to be independent, get my homework done, helping with my younger sister, cleaning the house. We were like mini-adults.
