I am all for happy couples getting married. What I am not for are happy couples scamming free rooms for weddings. Sure, the economy is bad but it’s still not okay.

When my husband and I got married 10,000 years ago (ok, 25 years ago), we were poor 20-somethings. We had to save up our money and pay for a room rental.

But these days there is something called a “pop-up wedding” and it’s taking the bridal world by storm. A pop-up wedding is similar to an elopement, typically consisting of a short and sweet ceremony with a small guest count.

I don’t think it’s sweet or awww-worthy. I think it is stealing and here is why.

Ok, this is a private business. They are trying to serve coffee to their customers. They are just going about their business and a wedding party walks in!
