Mild Covid Caused Cardiac Failure In My Healthy 49 Year Old Husband
I have been scared of Covid for over 2 years. My entire family is vaccinated, wears masks and social distances. But in the end, it still got us. Just not in the way I expected.
I’ve been married to my husband for over 20 years. And in that time, he has been the healthy one. I have several chronic conditions, while he has a few conditions but he has always been healthier. In all this time, he has never been to the hospital, let alone admitted.
He goes to the doctor twice a year and has an EKG once a year. His doctor is smart and pays attention to him. He is overweight but has low blood pressure, surprisingly. He’s on medication for high cholesterol and a few other things and takes his medication every day.
So when he started getting lightheaded standing up, he shrugged it off.
This is a person who has a stressful job and works late nights. He is always busy and has a high-stress level. He never got the typical pain down the left arm. This is actually what happened.
A few nights ago he stood up off the couch and immediately felt like he was going to faint. He said he had slight pain in his chest and back. He sat back down and didn’t get up for a couple of minutes. I asked if he wanted to call 911 and he said no. Because he is…
