Letters From The Time Traveler: The Prayer Book, the Swinson Sisters, and Susan
Dearest,
I knew this would happen eventually, but I had hoped it wouldn’t.
As one of the known laws of time travel, never (if you can help it), run into your descendants. The time travelers are here to help strangers and influence society for the good of humanity. NOT to save their own offspring.
So you may ask, how in the world did I meet my grandson? My 4x great grandson Alex. Well, it’s quite a convoluted tale.
And believe me, it took every ounce of self-control not to blurt out to him who I really was. I will have to tell you this tale over two letters, as it is quite involved.
But let me start at the beginning.
It was 2020 and the country was on lockdown. I could not go to browse my local antique stores to find treasures, so I went online. While the Internet is quite a fantastical invention, it does have drawbacks.
But I digress. I was on eBay (similar to the auctions of our time), as I sometimes go there to reminisce. I was looking at old prayer books and one caught my attention immediately.
