Letters From The Time Traveler: It Gets Worse Before It Gets Better
Dearest,
As with so many things in life, sometimes things just get worse before they get better.
An old expression my father used it say “it gets darker before the dawn”
And dearest, we are in some dark times here in 2025.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
It reminds me of the time before the Civil War. The Antebellum period was marked with constant political strife, kind of like now:
It was a very rocky period, marked by the debate over slavery and its expansion into new territories. Famous abolitionists like Frederick Douglas worked for the end of slavery:
With the push for the abolition of slavery, there were severe economic shifts. The North had already been moving towards manufacturing, while the South was entrenched in agriculture…
