Letters From The Time Traveler: How to Survive In Dangerous Times
Dearest,
I survive each day, in every time, by knowing I am doing some good. I am not a god and I am not perfect, but I know how to help others.
But here in the 2020’s, we are living in very dangerous times. And it scares me a lot. I am normally a pretty unflappable person but there are times a crime shakes me to my core.
Especially if I feel it could have been prevented.
Case in point: At one of our local grocery stores, one town over had a stabbing last month. I heard it from a neighbor and then read about it online. This is the same store that had a murder/suicide last summer.
We all assumed it was crime-related or they knew each other or something. Not that it makes it better.
As it turns out, it was, as they know right now, a random stranger stabbed a woman and her 3-year-old son.
The boy passed but his mother survived. Our community is completely horrified. How does this even happen?
