The signs were there from the start. Those who had gotten mild Covid in 2020/2021, started coming down with violent infections in 2023.
This lethal form was strep was killing children as early as 2022 and no one was paying attention.
I had strep as a child, and scarlet fever too, but I survived. I remember the horror of the strep, like knives shoved in my throat. Mother made me drink water but it was a challenge. Then it turned into scarlet fever. My entire body was covered with a bright red rash. My temperature rose very high and that was when my mother started worrying.
I lay listlessly in the sick bed for days. Then the fever broke and I turned a corner. I was lucky.
