Pay Off My Son’s School Loans

My husband and I struggled with debt early in our 20’s. My son is now in his 20’s and saddled with high school loans. To the tune of paying $1000/month. This is after it was reduced from $1800.

How can anyone afford this? I don’t get why school loan companies put their minimums so high. If I could, I would pay off all of my son’s school loans.
