I am a Targetaholic. The problem with this is sometimes I overspend. And overbuy. So when my son’s graduation party was over, I had too many decorations. They were still new in packaging.I brought everything in and it was a lot.
The cashier was very nice but at item 10 I think, the register locked up and wouldn’t let her do anymore returns. I was very polite and fine with it, but I was thinking, what was that about.
I think I have been partially banned from returns. Even though every purchase was in my Target account and I could prove I bought everything, it was the amount of merchandise.
According to a National Retail Federation (NRF) report, the total amount of money involved in 2023 merchandise returns was $743 billion. And of that, $101 billion was cited as fraudulent returns.
