How to Plan a Charming Old-Fashioned Picnic

As a child, we loved going on picnics. It was one of my favorite times as a child. Picnics were more popular in years past but I am hoping to see a resurgence. It is a nice way to spend the day at your local park with family and friends.
Picnics Can Be Simple or Themed
You don’t really need a theme or decorations. That is one of the beauties of having a picnic.
All you have to do to make it super easy is pick up a tray of food from Costco. They have so many prepared trays to make it even easier!
Some possible themes include:
Old Fashioned Victorian Party:
Vintage-inspired picnic basket or wicker hamper
Vintage tea sets, complete with teapot, cups, and saucers
Antique doilies or lace tablecloths
Fresh flowers in vintage-inspired vases or jars
Vintage parasols or umbrellas to provide shade
Antique or vintage-style picnic blankets or quilts
Tea sandwiches made with cucumber, cream cheese, and watercress
Fresh garden salads with baby greens, cherry tomatoes, and edible flowers
Crustless quiche with spinach and feta cheese
Assorted fresh fruits, such as strawberries, grapes, and melons
Lavender lemonade, made with fresh lavender and lemon juice
Miniature desserts, such as petit fours or macarons
