How To Host a Favorite Things Party

I recently heard of a favorite things party. I had not heard of it before but after some research, it’s an easy party to host.
How To Get Started:
- First, establish a dollar amount you and your friends are comfortable with. $25-$40 seems a popular range.
- Have everyone bring two (of the same) unwrapped gifts. They can have a cute bow or some flair, but they should be visible so everyone can see clearly what they are.
- Then each guest takes turns presenting their gift and explaining why it’s their favorite thing. It’s helpful to have a place card for each gift, with everyone’s name.
- Have everyone draw a number (the number of attendees) out of a hat/bowl/whatever. In the first round, number 1 will choose their gift of choice.
- For round two, have everyone select their second gift in reverse order (whoever drew number 10 gets to go first this time).
- Go around the group and pick your gift! Everyone goes home with two new favorite things.
- Some gift ideas include: cooking class gift card, wine tasting, floral workshop, restaurant gift card, spa treatments and more.
