Millennials get a bad rap. They are blamed for everything from the collapse of the institution of marriage to the harm of social media.

As a Gen X, I don’t think they deserve ALL the blame. Maybe some.

NO MORE DIGITAL PRIVACY OR PRIVACY IN PUBLIC

Many years ago, I was taught there is no such thing as online privacy. And I kept this in mind. So you can imagine my shock when Millennials and Gen Z started posting everything and anything online. From their bathroom habits to sex tips and more, no topic is off limits. Especially on TikTok. And these are posts sharing private info and they are also not monetizing! Crazy stuff.

I always tell my son to be very, very careful about what he posts online.

And speaking of less privacy, one can no longer go in public and not be recorded by someone with an iPhone. Back in my day (hahahaha), the 1980s/1990s, video cameras were huge and expensive. The other alternative for recording events was pocket cameras, with actual film that had to be developed.

No one was publishing the latest controversy online or calling out someone for egregious behavior. But today, cancel culture thrives on the ability to publish videos and…
