Freeloaders Need To Be Stopped
Freeloaders hide in plain sight in our society. And many are not even called on their bulls-t.
Netflix reminded me of this recently when they announced they are FINALLY cracking down on password freeloaders.
The company said in a statement that in the past it has encouraged account sharing among its 222 million subscribers, with features such as profiles and multiple streams, but that the practices are “impacting our ability to invest in great new TV and films for our members.”
“Mind your business! Respectfully!” said one tweet, with many others aiming profanity and laughing emojis at the streaming giant.
I normally do not take the side of corporations. But this time, I have my own Netflix freeloader story to share.
I have two people on my account, that doesn’t contribute one penny to it. My husband let them on the account years ago. The one got a much better job a year ago and can afford his own account.
Yet, he still mooches off us.
