I have begun the clearing-out process in my garage. I tend to like to keep things so it’s been a lot of work.

I have three categories- keep, donate, and throw out. The donated one is the category that is tripping me up right now.

While the idea of giving away things on Facebook Buy Nothing group. I have always been the type of person who’d rather pass something on instead of trying to get money for it.

But after listing the following items, it became a circus of crazy. In my former life, I was an influencer who would work for product, at times. I now have tons of stuff I can’t use in my home.

  • new in box food containers
  • blender
  • new toaster
  • new throw rug
  • a barely used exercise bike (I posted they need to haul away themselves)

I had a lot of interest, several Facebook DM and then the weirdness started. A few people wanted me to deliver the items. I told them it was porch pick up only, which for me would be putting it on the curb.

A few people showed up but the majority kept asking if I could hold the item. Eventually the items went to the Salvation Army because I just lost my patience with the entire process.
