Dear Perfect Christmas Moms, Please Calm Down.

It’s okay to let the kids decorate the tree…

Moms need to stop trying to control everyone else actions to have the “perfect” holiday.

I tend to be a laidback person. When my son was younger, he helped decorate the tree. Sure he put ornaments in one spot on the tree, but it was cute.

I did not go after him and “fix” the tree. I have never been one of those perfect holiday moms.

Christmas Queens are annoying because…

• They add another level of stress to the holiday that none of us need.
• Many of them start their whining right after Thanksgiving.
• They don’t let the kids decorate the Christmas tree. So what if they don’t put the ornaments in “right” place. Let them help and contribute. I am glad I let my son growing up decorate the tree.
• They have to be the perfect baker and cook.
• The Christmas tree has to be from a Hallmark tree farm and perfectly decorated. No fake trees for them!
