Christmas Creep Merch Has Hit Costco and Target. I Love It!

I don’t know about you but I have noticed holiday merchandise in stores like Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, etc. And I am in the minority on this, because I LOVE it!

According to Wikipedia, this is what Christmas creep is:

Christmas creep is a merchandising phenomenon in which merchants and retailers introduce Christmas-themed merchandise or decorations before the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, which in the United States is on the day after Thanksgiving.[1] The term was first used in the mid-1980s.[2]

Some want holidays to take place in the correct order. Halloween first, then Thanksgiving, and then the holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah. Stores like to jump the gun and put out their merch early.

I personally think it’s awesome. But are they going too far? Are they trying to get rid of Halloween and Thanksgiving in pursuit of the almighty dollar?
