BEING UNREACHABLE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME

My Gen X friends, do you remember being able to go out somewhere and no one knows where you are?

My friends and I would go on adventures almost daily on our bikes. These days, I rarely see anyone riding a bike. It is kind of an odd thing to see. We would go to the woods, build forts, and hang out. Our parents didn’t know where we were. All they knew was that we needed to get back home before the streetlights came on.

Then as teenagers, we would head out to parties, but no one knew where we were! No cell phones! No trackers! The only kids with beepers were the drug dealers! Those were the days.
