Newly Engaged Are Announcing Engagements on Facebook/Snapchat/Facebook Messenger
This happened to my family recently. Family members who should have told us in person, sent us an impersonal Facebook message that they were engaged with a blurry photo of the soon-to-be bride wearing the ring.
It was so bizarre and impersonal. We never got to hear the engagement story or anything. Because I was raised right, I sent them pink roses as a congrats and a lovely card. Did they say thank you, even on Facebook? No, nothing. Crickets!
They are off to an awful start with getting their family to be supportive of their engagement if they can’t take five seconds to say thanks for flowers.
