10+ Reasons Weddings Are Annoying

Wedding invites in the mail fill me with dread. I don’t really like getting dressed up. I also think weddings are overall really boring.

I also don’t like how entitled brides get as though somehow feel they have become royalty overnight. Everyone has to do their bidding!

And many invited to be in the wedding (or attend) can’t afford rent and keeping the lights on, much less going to a friend’s destination wedding as a bridesmaid!

10 Reasons Why Weddings Are Annoying

1. Everyone needs to clear their calendar for their bridal shower/bachelorette party/wedding/brunches/etc
2. Expecting those in the wedding party to be able to afford dresses, shoes, hair, etc.
3. They expect nice gifts off the registry. Or cash. If anyone goes rogue with the gift, or it’s a handmade gift (the horror!) they are looked down on.
4. Expecting everyone to be dressed nicely, like sometimes at designer level.

5. Many brides don’t want pregnant bridesmaids in their bridal party. It throws off the “look”.

6. Expecting family and friends to be able to go to a destination wedding.

7. Expecting their bridesmaids to host, pay for and plan a bachelorette and other misc. parties.
