10+ Qualities That Make Someone a Survivor
For me, my survivor mindset started when I was 19 years old. I was hospitalized for pneumonia, which is very close to the Covid experience for some people. I almost died then. When I recovered, I developed the survivor mindset.
Whether someone is trying to survive a pandemic, an illness, or an accident, survivors tend to share similar qualities.
So what are the qualities of a survivor?
Emotionally Stable:
My friend Jen has depression and anxiety, like a lot of us. When the pandemic first started, she pretty much could not handle it. She had to go on some meds to even things out. She is a very social person and to have her social activities controlled was too much for her.
And since the CDC and President Biden declared the pandemic over, she no longer cares. Seeing people wearing masks in stores ticks her off. Anyone talking about Covid, she can’t be around. She has lost some friendships over this. For anyone who talks about the pandemic, she will declare in a loud voice, “the pandemic is over!” She literally gets angry if she sees or hears anything that reminds her of the pandemic.
At this point, she has become insufferable. It’s hard to hang out with her. She does not seem to respect that everyone has…
